-- Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Russell Okung is getting a second opinion on his toe injury but that the Pro Bowl offensive tackle will not play Sunday against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

"Russell is out of town getting another look at it, and I'm not even sure where he is," Carroll said. "So we really can't say yet what the situation is, but he will not play on Sunday."
Okung suffered a torn ligament in the toe in the first half of the game against the San Francisco 49ers on Sunday night.
Carroll said Paul McQuistan will start at Okung's left tackle spot against Jacksonville. McQuistan moved over from left guard to replace Okung against the 49ers.James Carpenter, a former first-round draft pick out of Alabama, came in to play left guard.
"They did fine, especially with no preparation for Paul," Carroll said. "Paul is a really smart player and he knows the calls. Paul couldn't have been prepared for some of the finesse things we do in [pass] protection. It's likely we'll get much better with that after a week to prep."
Carroll also said rookie offensive tackles Alvin Bailey and Michael Bowie could contribute in Okung's absence. Both players were inactive against San Francisco.
