Rumors began circulating that the Trojans might covet Fisher to replace current head coach Lane Kiffin on Monday.
When Fisher was presented with the question Wednesday, he first cracked a joke about how well the University of South Carolina played against Georgia last week.
From there, Fisher made his stance on the topic quite clear.
"That's just absurd," Fisher said. "They're rumors."
Fisher is in his second season with the Rams, who signed him to a five-year, $35 million contract in January 2012. Fisher is a USC alum who played defensive back for the Trojans from 1977-80.
Kiffin has come under considerable heat after a 7-6 season in 2012 followed by a 10-7 loss to Washington State last week.
